COURT ACCOMPANIMENT
Going to court and waiting for decisions to be made by a jury may make you feel scared or nervous. You may be able to have an advocate go to a court proceeding with you.
Advocates at Victim Service Programs are there to support you and answer any questions you may have while in court. They will be able to explain to you what is happening as the case moves forward in either the criminal or juvenile justice systems.
Advocates are not always able to go to court with all victims. If your advocate is not able to go to court with you, you may want to take a family member or friend with you for support.
