If you or someone you know has been a victim of crime, this website may be able to help you. The website provides information about services that are available to you, information about the criminal and juvenile justice systems, and rights that victims of crime are entitled to, as well as other resources that may help you.

​YOU HAVE THE RIGHT

You have the right to be provided with basic information on available services. Law enforcement agencies shall provide basic information on the rights and services available to you. The information shall be in writing and shall be provided to you within 24 hours of the law enforcement agency’s first contact with you.

You have the right to be restored as you were before the crime, as much as possible, through restitution and to receive assistance with preparing, submitting and follow-up with a claim for compensation. Law enforcement agencies shall within 48 hours of reporting give notice to you as the direct victim or, if appropriate, a member of your family of the availability of crime victims compensation. The notice shall be in writing and shall be accompanied by one copy of the application form.
